I help bring your creations into being with joy, beauty, and clarity.
Laura Margaret Lott
Doula. Artist. Organizer.
Hi, I’m Laura.
Let’s make something meaningful together. I’m a Rhode Island certified doula, a visual artist, and project organizer helping ideas take form—across pregnancy and early parenthood, creative work, and mission-driven initiatives.
I mother two little ones, am a wife to a philosopher, and am in daily negotiation with a wild Australian cattle dog. I’m guided by ritual, nature, and color, and by a belief that a more peaceful, collaborative world begins close to home.
I’d love to be part of what you’re making.
Birthwork
I’m a Rhode Island certified doula and in early summer 2026 will be able to accept insurance in the state. I work with local families to experience birth and early infancy in ways that feel most joyful, meaningful, and special to them. I received my doula training from the wonderful folks at All In Doula Training, and I provide culturally-aware, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care to my birthing clients. I’d love to help you and your family during this intimate and intense part of life.
Visual Art
I’m a multidisciplinary artist working with paper, clay, fiber, and motion—exploring pattern, texture, and the beauty of process. I’m inspired by radical art, I listen to nature, and strive to infuse joy into my practice. You’ll find me around Providence putting on collective printmaking projects and paper marbling workshops. I also offer a monthly mail club that focuses on caretaking and art making.
Organizing
As a strategist and builder, I help nonprofit organizations, academics, artists, and community groups move from early ideas to fully realized, funded initiatives. With 20 years of experience across the arts, education, and healthcare, I bring a mix of operational rigor and creative thinking to mission-driven work. My approach is collaborative and generative—grounded in listening, guided by experience, and oriented toward what is both meaningful and possible.
